EventsThe Society organises speaker and member evenings on the third Friday of the month at Binham Village Hall. Most evening start at 7:30pm but check the web site for specific event start times and dates in each case. Some of these are public events.
Speakers provide illustrated talks on a variety of astronomy subjects using our digital projector and other lecture equipment. There is refreshments and usually a raffle.
These are a chance for members to meet and get to know each other. Evenings at Binham are sometimes structured round a topic of interest to astronomers, with demonstrations or short talks by knowledgeable members. If conditions allow we'll combine with observing outside.
From time to time we organise short talks to other societies on astronomy subjects. Our popular Moonwatch sessions take portable telescopes to various locations in this region and invite the public to view the moon and stars.
Members are kept informed of events by email on a regular basis. If you'd like to join the Society then please access the membership page.
