Telescope Making
Looking for a new outlet this Spring? Why not make your own instrument to your own specification?
Members have shown an interest in grinding their own mirrors to then construct a telescope from basic parts. The renowned astronomical technician and philosopher David Jackson and others could be available to assist those who are interested. Many patterns of scope can be achieved and with group input, much effort can be saved.
Please have a look at the website http://www.galvoptics.fsnet.co.uk/ for a complete review of prices and description of details involved.
Get in touch with the committee a.s.a.p to register your interest so that we can get the mirror blanks rolling and organise 'facilities'.
